The Recreation Centre is looking to fill several positions with high energy, enthusiastic and creative individuals.
This exciting opportunity will enable a physical education professional to join a dedicated team that provides high quality programming and services to the Lexington community. The ideal candidate will have bachelor’s degree in physical education, a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, experience working with and instructing children, is energetic, outgoing, positive, and can demonstrate ongoing professional development.
This position is responsible for the planning, implementing, staffing, overseeing, and evaluating Hayden’s PE programs, the Centre’s weight room and gymnasium. A main focus for this position is maintaining a safe and engaging environment for our members and establishing communication with families. During the summer months, the PE Director will play a role in our summer camp programs. In addition to the PE Primary responsibilities, each staff member plays in role in the overall mission of the Centre.
This is a full-time, year-round position. Hours are early afternoon to early evening. Hours shift during the summer months.

Lifeguards
Hours and availability vary throughout the year. Mornings, mid-day, afternoon, evenings, weekends, etc. Guarding duties include overseeing the pool for safety during lap swimming, youth swim classes, youth free swim, and swim clinic/team practices. Please contact Julia Ward jward@jwhayden.org
Training opportunities are offered throughout the year.
Swim Instructors
Hours and availability vary throughout the year. Mornings, afternoon, evenings, weekends, etc. Instructors will teach youth members based on American Red Cross level lesson plans. Please contact Julia Ward jward@jwhayden.org
